CAGO Map Explorer Rules
1. The “Airport Map Explorer Program” is to encourage pilots to “explore” as many
member airports as possible during the year.
2. For 2009, the Program officially takes
place from April 1 to December 31.
3. The Program is limited to “while map supplies
last”.
4. The Program is open to all pilots or student pilots (the “Participants”).
5.
The Participant must visit the airport in an “aircraft”, but is not required to be
the pilot.
6. Participants are invited to complete a registration sign up sheet at
the initial participating airport (not a mandatory requirement)
7. Record of visitation
will be by an airport stamp mark placed on a colour coded stick-on label (blue for
2009), placed on the map in the vicinity of the airport name/symbol.
8. Maps will
normally be stamped during CFS advertised hours - airports that are “unattended”
may have other arrangements. Please call ahead to all airports to determine specific
local arrangements. Maps must be stamped to qualify for prizes.
9. A visit to Elliot
Lake, Cornwall, and Bancroft, will be counted as two-airport visits each.
10. Prizes
for 2009 are as follows: $300 - first prize; $200 - second prize; $100 - five third
prizes.
11. There is no cost to participate.
12. To qualify for a prize, participants
must have their map verified by a participating airport manager by January 31, 2010.
13.
Winners will be determined on the basis of the most airports visited, and in the
event of a tie, based on a draw.
14. Winners will be notified the end of February
2010.
15. Participating airports are: Bancroft Community Airport; Chatham-Kent Municipal
Airport; Collingwood Municipal Airport; Cornwall Regional Airport; Elliot Lake Municipal
Airport; Goderich Municipal Airport; Haliburton/Stanhope Municipal Airport; Huronia
Municipal Airport; Kincardine Municipal Airport; Lindsay Municipal Airport; Owen
Sound Municipal Airport, Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport; Saugeen Municipal Airport;
Stratford Municipal Airport; St. Thomas Municipal Airport; Tillsonburg Municipal
Airport; Tobermory Municipal Airport; Wiarton/Keppel Municipal Airport; Wingham Municipal
Airport.

Member Airports Promotion
